ABOUT US

Meet our team

Built on a foundation of experience, trust and creative freedom, our team is ready to take your dreams of what could be and turn them into a tangible reality.
Meet the leading ladies of Floret & Vine below.

meet our founder

this is kate

She's a business-owner and floral fairy-godmother who's passion has always been rooted in nature. Born and raised in Massachusetts, she started her floral design training at 16, working under the watchful eye of a seasoned designer in her hometown. Over the next 10 years, she went on to study politics, business and marketing in college, all while working and training as a floral designer on the side. A few years later, while contemplating pursuing her MBA in Vermont, she decided to instead pursue her ‘real life’ MBA by buying the floral design studio she was working in, becoming a business owner at the age of 23.

Over the next 4 years, she grew personally and professionally, and developed a reputation for romantic, garden-inspired arrangements. Now, thoroughly loving this life of a creative entrepreneur, she crafts floral arrangements for celebrations on mountainsides, in beautiful vineyards, countryside estates and charming inns. TLDR: Total boss babe, dog mom to Leo and Cali the Cavapoos, loving wife and adoring auntie. Fluent in New Girl and Parks 'n Rec quotes. She can lift very heavy things at Crossfit, and also perfectly place the most delicate flowers. When she's not in the studio, you can find her out on the Chesapeake, indulging in a gin and tonic, extra lime. You should probably just leave her there, she's tired and hasn't slept for days.

All our favorite things:

01

Statement installations

Your love is the star of the show, but we think you also deserve a beautiful scene to say 'I do'.

02

Ranunculus Boutonnieres

A modern twist on the traditional bout. This F&V staple brings a little extra personality to the classic menswear.

03

greenery. on. everything.

Why not bring the fresh feeling of the outdoors, in? We believe there's no such thing as too much.

04

fur babies

You won't find a team more in love with their four-legged children, and yours.

05

candle accented centerpieces

Tapered, pillar or votive? Our answer is yes.

06

textured bridal bouquets

We like to specialize in the little details, because sometimes the smallest flowers make the biggest difference.

Tracy Reed |

Tracy is our very own resident artist and mama bear. She loves chocolate and her children – sometimes in that order. During the off-season, you can find her unwinding near a sunny window with a good historical novel and a glass of pinot noir. Her favorite flower is a peony and she will never say no to blueberry pie with a side of vanilla ice cream. She lives in Annapolis with her wonderful husband, Marshall – and they hope to visit Scilly one day, where her grandparents were born. Her favorite show to binge is Friends – and she's a big fan of Phoebe, but we all know she's definitely more of a Monica.

Eliza Miller |

Eliza is our very own iced coffee aficionado, and queen bee of the warehouse. She loves the smell of fresh cut grass coming through the window while her vinyl records play, or going on long walks in the evening to clear her mind.  Her favorite flower is a black rose – and while she cleans our endless supply of votives, she daydreams of vacationing in the Grenadines. Sometimes she spoils us with a freshly made banana pudding. She lives and thrives along the country roads of southern Maryland, always loves to binge the Sons of Anarchy on Netflix, and is our constant source of pop culture news. No really, we don't need to check twitter anymore.

floral designer + studio manager

Molly McManus |

Molly is our all-hands-on-deck worker-bee, and digital content manager. As a jill of all trades, she thrives in both the chaos of a wedding day and the quiet of a Monday on the couch with her husband Connor, and their fur-child Luna. Her favorite flower is probably a sweet pea, but also debatably a colorful ranunculus. She's also an Annapolis resident and entrepreneur– making her own way in the regional photography industry; so, when she miraculously has a day off you can find her brunching around town, or planning her next trip abroad. Not above bribery, her favorite vice is an iced latte in the morning with a bakery treat.

Our clients find joy in the small pleasures, often spend their days lost in wanderlust, and value the sentimental details the most.

Whether you celebrate in the backyard of your family home, or along the banks of the Chesapeake Bay, we believe the most integral part of a great party are the details that make it authentically yours. Our team is dedicated to listening, interpreting, and over-delivering when it comes to your once-in-a-lifetime moment.
